Design and Production Process of Agricultural Chain

In the design and production process of the agricultural chain(GETECHAIN), there are three key steps: blanking and chain weaving, welding and “reshaping” and heat treatment. Next, I will briefly introduce them to you.

1. Blanking and chaining: This step includes two modes of operation, in which the blanking value is the material needed to put the agricultural chain into production in a pre-programmed machine, and shall be carried out according to the size indicated in the chain design drawing during the blanking process; However, chain knitting refers to “knitting” the processed materials into shapes. In order to ensure the quality of the next step, stable hardness and good cold bending of the raw materials should be ensured during the chain knitting process.

2. Welding and “reshaping”: The common welding methods for agricultural chains include cold welding, hot welding, and hot welding, of which cold welding is mainly applicable to large industrial chains for mining. Hot-braiding cold welding is mainly used to produce industrial chains with longer lengths. Different methods have slightly different applicable temperatures and processes. Shaping aims at changing the shape of raw materials to make them more similar to the shape of chains.

3. Heat treatment: this step mainly improves the structure of raw materials and enhances service performance through the action of high temperature and various auxiliary media. Generally, there are annealing, normalizing, quenching, tempering, carburizing, nitriding, carbonitriding, boronizing and other methods.

(1) Annealing, heating the workpiece to 30-50 degrees above Ac3, keeping the temperature for a certain time, then slowly cooling to 500 degrees along with the furnace and cooling in space.

(2) Normalizing, heating the steel parts to Ac3 or above Acm, taking out the spray chain from the furnace after heat preservation and cooling in air.

(3) Quenching, heating the steel piece to Ac3 or above Ac1 and quickly cooling in cooling liquid such as water or oil after heat preservation to obtain unstable tissue.

(4) Spraying chain tempering: reheating the quenched steel to a temperature below Ac1, and cooling to room temperature after heat preservation.

(5) Natural aging treatment refers to the aging phenomenon that the workpiece is stored at room temperature or under natural conditions for a long time, which is called natural aging treatment.

(6) Artificial aging treatment, which adopts the aging treatment process of heating the workpiece to spray the chain to a higher temperature and aging treatment for a shorter time, is called artificial aging treatment.
